In this tutorial, we'll show you how to track the most recent location of your lost or stolen Android phone using a Google web application called Android Device Manager. You can either access Android Device Manager from web browser or by downloading the app.

How To Locate Your Lost Or Stolen Android Phone
Location data from your devices will be collected and sent to Google. Device location is approximate, and may not always be accurate.
- Open the Android Device Manager app from your Android device or try using Firefox or Chrome browser to visit the website here
- Now login to your Google account associated with the lost or stolen Android phone.
- Accept the terms of service and you are on.
You'll see a map of the last known location of your stolen Android phone with the name of the device.
Here are some things Android Device Manager can do
1. Display a map of the last known location with the name of the stolen device.
2. Provide functionality to make the stolen or lost phone ring with directives to stop the phone ringing after found.
3. Allow you to remotely lock your stolen device
4. Allows you to erase the contents of the phone
How To Make The Stolen Or Lost Android Phone Ring
With the Android Device Manager, you can set the lost or stolen device to ring even if it is on silent or vibration.
- Tap the Ring icon
- After that, tap the Ring button and your stolen or lost phone will begin to ring until you find it and press the power button to make it stop.
How To Remotely Lock Your Stolen Android Phone
After locating your lost or stolen phone, you can also remotely lock it to deny access to unauthorised user.
- Tap the Lock icon
- Enter Password, a message to the person with the phone, and alternative phone number to contact you with.
This information will help the person to contact you and return your phone.
How To Erase Your Stolen Phone Contents
If after searching for the missing or stolen phone and you still haven't found it, then it will be wise to erase all your data on the lost or stolen device.
If you didn't set screen lock on your missing or stolen device, then that means the person now has access to your social media accounts; it will be wise to erase the phone. This should be your last resort as this will reset the phone to factory settings.
- To erase your stolen or lost phone data, tap on the Erase icon
- You will get a notification that the phone will reset to factory settings.
- Confirm the reset to wipe your lost or stolen phone data and the phone will reset.
